MAFS Australia’s Bec Plans to Sell Her Wedding Ring After Split From Danny

Married At First Sight Australia bride Bec Zacharia has revealed that she is ready to part ways with her wedding ring following her painful split from Danny Hewitt, but she has decided to turn the sentimental item into something positive.

Bec entered the experiment hoping to find a long-term partner, but her relationship with Danny quickly became one of the more difficult marriages of the season. After weeks of tension and emotional ups and downs, their relationship ultimately came to an end at Final Vows.

Danny delivered the final blow when he decided not to continue their relationship, telling Bec that he viewed her as his “soulmate as a friend” rather than a romantic partner.

Now, with their marriage firmly in the past, Bec has revealed that she no longer has any reason to keep the wedding ring.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Bec announced that she plans to sell the diamond ring she received during the MAFS experiment. However, rather than simply keeping the money for herself, she intends to donate part of the proceeds to the Animal Welfare League.

Bec explained that the ring no longer has any meaning for her and that she would rather see it put towards a good cause.

The ring originally had a price of around $2,800, although Bec admitted she does not expect to sell it for that exact amount. She described it as a beautiful piece of jewellery and invited anyone interested in purchasing it to contact her through Instagram.

The decision comes as Bec continues to move forward following her relationship with Danny. Instead of keeping a painful reminder of the marriage, she appears to be choosing to turn the experience into something that could benefit animals in need.

However, selling the ring isn’t the only reason Bec has recently found herself in the spotlight.

The former MAFS bride has also attracted significant attention after travelling to Bali for reconstructive surgery on her ribs, a controversial procedure that is restricted or illegal in a number of countries.

Before undergoing the operation, Bec discussed her plans on Joshua Fox’s MAFS Funny podcast. She explained that after losing a significant amount of weight, she was left with excess loose skin, which made her feel vulnerable about her appearance.

Several weeks later, Bec confirmed on Instagram that she had gone ahead with the procedure.

Her decision sparked considerable criticism online, particularly because of the nature of the surgery. However, Bec defended her choice and insisted that the decision was ultimately about her own body.

Despite the controversy surrounding her recent choices, Bec appears determined to move into the next chapter of her life on her own terms.

And now, by selling the wedding ring that once represented her MAFS marriage and donating part of the proceeds to animal welfare, she is giving the final symbol of her relationship with Danny a completely different purpose.
