TC.AU.Scott Cam Is LEAVING The Block?! Channel 9 Finally Breaks Silence On The Rumours That Have Fans In Tears

Scott Cam joined the renovation show, which is on its 22nd season, in 2010.

Producers of The Block have stepped in over rumours that long-time host Scott Cam is set to leave the show at the end of the 2026 season.

The qualified carpenter joined the show, which is now in its 22nd season, in 2010.

But there have been rumours circulating that Scott is set to retire from the show, and judge Marty Fox is about to step into the big role.

However, the show’s executive producer, Julian Cress, has stepped in to respond to the claims.

“Stories are about how Marty Fox is going to take over are also just ridiculous,” Julian told TV Tonight.

“That’s not going to happen. Scott Cam’s very happy doing the show. He loves it, and everybody loves him doing it.”

He dismissed the claims as “made up”.

Julian also dismissed claims that Scott and judge Shaynna Blaze are “at each other’s throats,” saying the pair are “great friends”.

It’s no surprise these rumours have been shut down, with the 63-year-old himself telling Yahoo Lifestyle that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.

“Over the last 10 years, everyone’s been saying this is my last year,” he said in May ahead of his appearance on Channel 9 show Shark.

“I’m not retiring next year either. Tell you what, I’ll be the first to let you know when I’m going to retire,” he said.

Scott Cam missing in action ahead of The Block premiere

It has been a massive year for Scott between The Block and Shark, a show where celebrities confronted their fears to swim with the ocean giants.

It’s been a big year for Scott, both professionally and for his health.

Ahead of The Block’s August 2 premiere, the star revealed he’d been in hospital for two weeks after having major surgery.

“I’ve been getting a new knee for the last two weeks to keep up with the grandkids. Keen for you all to watch The Block tonight,” he wrote on Instagram the day the show kicked off.

The TV host shared images of himself standing in a hospital room, using a cane to prop him up, and showing his knee bandaged up following the knee replacement.

Another photo showed the renovation king shirtless and lying in a hospital bed with a breathing tube under his nose, enjoying a pizza.

A knee replacement surgery is a consuming procedure, and Scott said while he was up and walking in the days following the first five days were “not good”.
